Albuquerque Aquarium
The Albuquerque Aquarium takes visitors on a journey down the Rio Grande from
Albuquerque to its mouth in the Gulf of Mexico. Fresh water riverine, estuarine, surf
zone, shallow waters, coral reefs, open ocean and deep ocean species are
represented along the way. Other highlights include an eel tunnel, seahorses,
luminous jellies and a 285,000 gallon ocean tank where brown, sandtiger, blacktip
and nurse sharks swim alongside brilliantly colored reef fish, eels, sea turtles and
open ocean species.
Admission Prices
Tickets are sold every day from 9am to one-half hour before closing.
Aquarium and Garden only
$7 for Adults13 - 64 years
$3 for Seniors 65 and older
$3 for Children 3 - 12 years
Combo Admission to the Aquarium, Garden and Zoo
Same day combo tickets to visit all three facilities are sold until 12 noon every day.
After 12 noon, there is generally not enough time to see all three facilities. Combo
tickets include unlimited train rides on the Rio Line, which travels between the
Aquarium/Garden and the Zoo, and the Thunderbird Express, which makes a loop
around the Zoo. Combo tickets may be purchased exclusively from cashiers located
at the front entrances of the aquarium, botanic garden and zoo.
$12 for adults 13 - 64
$5 for seniors 65 and older
$5 for children 3 - 12.
